    Xpages Extension API

    10/04/2010 10:30:40 AM

For many years I've been suggesting that IBM are slowly moving domino into the java world (and therefore closer to the 'big blue' websphere product set).

xpages was a move closer but kept us away from having to learn java.

Now comes the new API to build your own controls. And no surprise - you gotta use java. Don't get me wrong. I think the new API will be great, but I can see a serious fragmentation issue coming from it.

Now I need to make sure that my customers are on the correct point version of domino, and I do mean point version. On top of that I need to make sure they haven't been chaning the installed dojo version. And now, I need to make sure they have the right extensions installed to use the extended custom controls.

One question I have with the extension API and the resultant objects. Can I secure them somehow so that only a customer that has purchased an extension control can use it ?

Sometimes, high school students do ask questions such as: "How should I accomplish my paper?", "Who is able to help me cope with my paper?", "Can I tell anyone to finish my academic writing task?" or "Could it be reasonable to buy essay now (supreme-essay.com)?". Therefore, I should state that is reasonable to get help online!
